Flora Europaea

the Linnean original specimen (only the typical species seem to provide a nomen ambiguum since the second herbarium sheet contains a very different other species; it shows however the foliate stem at the typical species (as represented by the individual on the first sheet and the dense arachnoid indumentum of the involucral bracts)

perennial, H, 2n=30 (typical species, subspecies unknown)

mesoxeric to mesic from the forest-steppe to the lower nemoral belt

Pannonian-Dacian-Alpine (the typical species), Dacian (the subspecies here treated), Central European-Pontic-Caucasian-Anatolian-Euxinic (general area of the species with all its subspecies)

Festucetalia valesiacae

R34 habitats
